He has proven himself as a money earner in the team penning as well! He has a steppy turnaround, a smooth rocking chair lope, and a beautiful extended trot. With or without a bridle, Alvin will ride around quietly and confidently.
In addition to his great mind under saddle, Alvin is extremely easy to handle on the ground. He is very well-mannered and super easy to catch, lead, groom, and bathe. Alvin gets along great with other horses and makes an excellent companion. He stands quietly for the vet and farrier and has no vices to speak of. He loads easily into trailers and stands still to be saddled. An easy keeper and no special maintenance required makes Alvin a low-maintenance horse for anyone. He has become a barn favorite, and he is loved by everyone who meets him! Alvin will meet you at the front of his stall to be caught and loves any kind of attention. He can even have his ears clipped with no halter!
Up to date on all his vaccinations, dental work, farrier care, and current coggins so you can rest assured that Alvin is in the best of health. He has been thoroughly examined by our vet and passed his flexion test with flying colors. Vet letter is listed in the gallery above. Alvin does have an old scar on his left hind, he has had it his whole life and is no problem. A picture of it is posted in the gallery above. This big lovable guy is truly special, and he is ready to bring joy and excitement to his new forever home.
