Apache is a 9 year old registered spotted saddle horse that is 16hh. This gelding is one that will drop jaws and grab attention anywhere you go. He has gorgeous black and white coloring with a long mane and tail. This boy is flashy and a very smooth ride with a natural gait. Apache has been ridden extensively on trails. My daughter, who is 9 years old, rides him, lunges him (and does gymnastics on him) regularly. People, bikes, cars, trucks, dogs, farm equipment, four-wheelers and commotion are no problem for him. He trailers great, stands for the farrier and vet, loves a good bath and any type of attention at all. Apache crosses water and walks over down logs or brush. He’s quiet undersaddle and on the ground. We used him primarily for pleasure riding, but he has also been used in field trials. He will neck rein, backs well, and is fancy broke! We have ridden this gelding extensively on the farm around the sheep, goats, and dogs.
Apache is gorgeous to look at! He is a horse that is super versatile. He is patient, as he has been pestered by the kids with constant brushing, braiding and grooming. The kids can tack him up, pick his hooves out, lunge-line him around and head out on the trails. The kids are used to jumping on him, around him and even playing catch over his back as you will see in the video. He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has been ridden many miles on the trails and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. He has been ridden in traffic and is very traffic safe around cars, semis, logs, and dump trucks.
Apache is in the middle of the pecking order in our herd. He is not aggressive. He has no issues with fences. He is in a single electric wire fence and we have never had an issue.
Apache is a knockout and has all of the tools to trail ride, show, do field trials or whatever you decide.
