Rudy is a beautiful 5-year-old, 15 hand Gypsy cross gelding who has been my main horse for the past three years. The older I get the more I value a safe and trustworthy horse that has the willingness to do different things and at age 56 Rudy has been that for me. We have had many adventures that have included riding the Black Hills, Badlands, Bighorn National Forest, and hunting trips in Montana in all types of weather.…
Rudy is a beautiful 5-year-old, 15 hand Gypsy cross gelding who has been my main horse for the past three years. The older I get the more I value a safe and trustworthy horse that has the willingness to do different things and at age 56 Rudy has been that for me. We have had many adventures that have included riding the Black Hills, Badlands, Bighorn National Forest, and hunting trips in Montana in all types of weather. Rudy is sure footed and rides alone or with a group. He gets along great with other horses and wants to be friends. He crosses water, logs, rocks, and goes through woods without hesitation. Rudy also spent a great deal of time as a 2-year-old working in a large feedlot penning cattle and opening and shutting gates. This created a love in Rudy that includes anything with cattle, so if we weren’t out riding the countryside, you would see us shagging calves and carrying flags at the rodeos. Rudy has the friendliest personality and soaks up all the attention he can get from the crowds of people we have encountered along the way. Rudy is extremely broke with feet and voice commands. He is a true one hand neck rein, knows his leads, is soft mouthed and a simple whoa will have him stopping. He will side pass both directions and come over to anything that you want to stand on for mounting whether it be a rock, fence, or mounting block he will stand good for anyone to get on. Since Rudy loves attention he is the first one to greet you in the pasture and with his funny antics he will surely make you laugh. Since Rudy has been hauled all over the countryside he loads and hauls great he also trims and bathes like a dream. Rudy is extremely well loved so has received the very best of care including regularly scheduled trimming, dental checks, deworming, and vaccinations.
