You’ve probably seen him on Instagram, Facebook or YouTube, because he’s gone viral several times, he’s quite the little internet sensation. You are pretty much looking at a little buckskin celebrity!
Smokey is being offered at the same time as “Sierra” his big look-alike. (They sell separately, but we wanted to give any cowboys or cowgirls and their mini me the opportunity to match, so we are offering both at the same time)
Smokey is the perfect size and build, gorgeous buckskin coat and the sweetest puppy-dog personality. 8 years old and stands 40” tall.
He is built nice and thick, good bone and structure. He is hardy as they come and will last your little cowboy or cowgirl as long as they want to ride.
Smokey has been on so many adventures with his little rider. They have roamed the countryside together, have been down to the creek to swim and cool off numerous times this summer, have been to horse shows and ropings and miles and on miles of trail rides. He’s a true babysitter.
Smokey is accustomed to all the wild little cowboys antics, whether that’s a B.B gun being fired over his head, taking off through the woods to chase the bad guys, roping the super slider and working and moving cows alongside Daddy’s big horse.
He doesn’t know he’s only a little guy, because he participates in all the big horse activities. He’s been to our local saddle clubs and jr rodeos- goat tying, barrel racing, trail classes and flag racing, though he’s not finished in any of those disciplines, he’s very willing and tries to do whatever is asked of him. He’s even done some babysitting in the PeeWee trail classes, and he’s always a hit!
This is the kind of pony that creates confident riders and good experiences.

He is suited well for any kid, he’s gentle and easy going. His current rider is 7, and he catches and halters Smokey unassisted- tacks him up and rides him all on his own. Smokey is very patient and doesn’t mind waiting on Wade to get everything situated properly. He stands well for grooming, the farrier, mounting up, etc.
When riding, he will walk along quietly and contentedly at whatever pace your child asks. He will ease up into a trot obediently, and also lope off no problem. We’ve hauled him to roping jackpots for the kids to play around on, he has never paid any attention to the lights and music and commotion.
He has been trail ridden extensively, traffic safe, he will cross logs, ditches, creeks and mud. He will go up and down steep hills and navigates all sorts of different terrain with ease. He’s even been through rough country, where there is no trail- and has had to pick his way along, he always takes care of his rider.
He doesn’t mind dogs or other farm animals, or loud kids climbing all over him! Smokey is one of those rare, very hard to find, exceptional ponies that any child will adore, bond with and learn how to be a cowgirl or cowboy with. Parents or grandparents, you can trust Smokey with your precious cargo, and having peace of mind is worth so much.
We have truly enjoyed our time with him and we are excited to see him with his next little cowboy or cowgirl and their adventures to come!!
He is priceless!!!! Smokey proudly carries Wade’s own stamp of approval on his left shoulder, the “Rockin’ W”.
